Netflix may get a resounding “no” to the question: “Are you still watching?”
The streaming service started to roll out its solution to banning password sharing — and users are threatening to cancel their subscriptions.
Users are now being hit with a warning message that reads, “Your Netflix account is for you and the people you live with — your household,” with “household” referring to people using the same Wi-Fi.
Now subscribers who shared accounts either have to either transfer their profile to a whole new membership or add an extra member onto an account for an additional monthly fee of $7.99.
Subscribers of Netflix have taken to social media to express their anger, with many claiming they’re simply going to cancel their accounts now.
